So I'm going to Phoenix for a conference, Nov 20-23. Naturally, I checked the local running calendar there. Yes, there is a 5K in downtown Phoenix that Saturday (late reg is only $40, and for a good charity). Yes, I could skip out on one session that morning. That's not the problem.
Problem is, our stupid conference organizers are putting on the event 17 miles from downtown Phoenix.
I'm checking the public transportation situation.

Hmph...skipping a session are you? Hopefully you'll learn something new about community education, or at least recreation, by attending the race.
